DTF Transfer How-To Guide
Follow these steps to get flawless results with your DTF transfers every time — whether you're pressing your first shirt or running a full print shop.
🎯 What You’ll Need
- ✔️ Heat Press Machine
- ✔️ DTF Transfer
- ✔️ Garment (T-shirt, hoodie, etc.)
- ✔️ Silicone Upper Platen Cover (recommended)
- ✔️ Thermal Heat Tape (optional)

🔧 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. No Pre-Press Needed
Our transfers do not require pre-pressing. You can skip it unless you want to flatten the fabric or remove moisture. No wrinkles? You're good to go!
2. Align & Position Your Transfer
Place the transfer on your garment exactly where you want it. Make sure it’s flat. Use thermal tape if needed, especially on hats or seams to prevent shifting.

3. Press & Peel
- 🔆 Temperature: 300°F - 325°F
- ⏱ Time: 12-15 seconds
- 📏 Pressure: Medium to High
After pressing, wait 2–3 seconds and peel hot. If parts aren’t sticking, re-press with added pressure or increase the heat by 15°F.
Don't worry — repeated pressing won't damage our transfers.
4. Final Press for Durability
After peeling the film, cover the design with parchment or Teflon sheet and press again for 15 seconds. This step improves softness, durability, and reduces shine.
🧺 Washing & Care
- ✅ Wash inside-out
- ✅ Cold water, gentle cycle
- ✅ Low heat tumble dry or hang dry
- ❌ Avoid bleach or fabric softeners
