✨ Foil‑Ready DTF Transfer Kit — How‑To Guide

Get luxury gold/silver metallic accents with a simple two‑press process. Your kit includes a ready‑to‑press DTF transfer plus a pre‑cut foil accent that matches your design—no trimming, no guesswork.

🎯 What’s In The Kit

  • ✔️ DTF Transfer (your printed design)
  • ✔️ Pre‑Cut Foil Accent (gold or silver, shaped to your artwork)
  • ✔️ Quick‑start instructions

🧰 What You’ll Need

  • ✔️ Heat press machine
  • ✔️ Garment (T‑shirt, hoodie, etc.)
  • ✔️ Teflon or parchment sheet
  • ✔️ Thermal heat tape (optional, for positioning)

Note: The foil step is a cold peel. The DTF step peels after a brief cool; see timings below.

🔧 Step‑by‑Step Instructions

1) Press the DTF Transfer (Step One)

  • Set press to 300–325°F (149–163°C), 12–15 seconds, medium to firm pressure.
  • Place transfer on the garment, press once.
  • Let cool for 5–10 seconds, then peel the PET film in a smooth motion.

2) Apply the Metallic Foil Accent (Step Two)

  • Lay the pre‑cut foil accent directly over the areas you want metallic (foil shiny side up).
  • Cover with Teflon/parchment.
  • Press at 300–310°F (149–155°C) for 8–12 seconds, medium pressure.
  • Cool completely (cold peel), then peel the foil carrier to reveal the shine.

3) Optional Final Seal

  • Cover the design and re‑press 3–5 seconds to improve wash durability and reduce any edges.

🧺 Washing & Care

  • ✅ Wash inside‑out • cold water • gentle cycle
  • ✅ Hang dry (preferred) or low heat tumble
  • ❌ No bleach or fabric softeners
  • ❌ Avoid ironing directly on the foil

🛠️ Troubleshooting

  • Foil didn’t stick in spots? Re‑cover and press again +3–5s, ensure even pressure. Let fully cool before peeling.
  • Patchy reflection? Increase pressure slightly; confirm foil is flat and fully covering the target areas.
  • DTF not bonding well? Re‑press the DTF step with a touch more pressure or +10–15°F.
  • Foil shifted? Use a couple pieces of heat tape to tack the foil accent before pressing.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Use firm, even pressure—the foil bonds to the DTF adhesive beneath.
  • For best results, avoid seams/zippers under the press area; use a pressing pillow for hoodies.
  • Foil looks stunning on bold shapes and text (logos, outlines, highlights).
